Discover a world of creativity at the Kroc Center of Augusta with our diverse range of art and music classes tailored for both children and adults. Whether you're seeking a new hobby or looking for a fun activity to share with a friend, we have plenty of options!

ART CLASSES FOR ADULTS

Pottery by Me

Ages 13 and up

Discover pottery techniques in a two-session class featuring personalized instruction for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced. In the first session, create your piece, followed by firing. In the second session, apply brush-on glazes before a final firing for a polished finish. Pieces will be ready for pickup afterward. Registration is required.

Meet the Potters

Ages: 13 and up

4th Wednesday of the month

Delve into pottery through our drop-in sessions held on the fourth Wednesday of most months from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. While not creating pottery themselves, participants will engage with local potters, gaining insights into techniques and the creative process. Learn about upcoming classes and workshops at the Kroc Center. Pre-registration is encouraged for this free educational opportunity.

ART CLASSES FOR KIDS

Books and Brushes

Ages: 4 - 7 years old

2nd Tuesdays | 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

This program offers a perfect blend of storytelling and creativity. Registration is required to secure your child's spot. Dive into a fantastic storybook followed by a fun crafting adventure! It's the perfect way to inspire a love for stories and unleash your child's artistic imagination!

Monday Crafternoon

Ages: 5 to 12 years old

May 20 | 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM

Start your week by joining us for a special craft time for children 5-12 years of age. Each participant will make a featured craft project to take home. Space is limited and pre-registration is required for each class date.

Paint and Swim

Ages: 7 to 12 years old

3rd Fridays | 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Immerse your kids in the joy of painting and swimming. Kids should wear paint-friendly attire to fully embrace the artistic experience. When it's time to make a splash, proper swim attire, and towels are required to enter the pool.

Teen Cuisine

Ages: 10 to 18 years old

Summer Classes begin Monday, July 8th | 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM

Join us for an exciting culinary journey with UGA's FREE Teen Cuisine class! Open to ages 10-18, this series of engaging lessons is designed to empower teens with essential life skills while promoting a healthy lifestyle. Each class will feature simple and practical cooking lessons for cultivating nutritious eating habits.

Pre-registration is required, and the Summer deadline is 7/5/24.

Tween Craft Time

Ages: 10 to 14 years old

4th Thursdays | 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM

Unlock your creativity at Tween Craft Time! Geared towards tweens ages 10-14, this engaging monthly class invites participants to join us on the fourth Thursday of most months for a one-of-a-kind crafting experience. Each session is an opportunity for tweens to unleash their artistic flair as they create a unique featured craft project to proudly take home. Pre-registration is required for each class date.

The Community Wing Art Gallery at the Kroc Center provides a venue for area artists and groups to display and sell their artwork. Open daily during business hours, these free exhibitions provide our members and guests the opportunity to experience the creativity found in the Augusta area.
